Magazine Appearances
One day, Xavier's mother received an e-mail about the Fresh New Face modeling competition. She called the number and made an appointment to meet with the representatives. Once the meeting was over, they informed her that they would love for Xavier to compete, but that preparing him for the runway was her responsibility. Immediately, she called her friend, Monique Redman, and asked for her help in finding someone that could teach Xavier how to walk on the runway. Monique introduced Xavier's mother to Sylvia David, who had done modeling and music videos throughout her career and didn't mind showing Xavier how to walk on the runway. They practiced for 4 days and, even though he didn't win first place, Xavier definitely made his presence known. Xavier is featured in the Fresh Face Magazine June 2008 issue as a top contender for their runway model competition. |
